What is Pegasus Rowing?

Pegasus Rowing is one of the premier co-ed junior rowing teams in the Greater Philadelphia Area. We are dedicated to developing outstanding junior rowers from ages 12-23. 

Based out of the Upper Merion Boat Club in King of Prussia,  Pegasus Rowing fields competitive racing teams for the Summer, Fall and Winter seasons.

We complement our programs with strength, erg training, and yoga sessions.

Our Motto

Pegasus Rowing’s mission is reflected in its motto “Building Better Rowers”.

Our coaches focus on providing a positive, competitive environment where motivated junior rowers can significantly improve their rowing.

Everything we do at Pegasus is in pursuit of developing stronger rowers and guiding our athletes to become the best versions of themselves on and off the water.

Pegasus rowers come from a broad geographical region, reaching to date as far as Lancaster Pennsylvania.

Our Team

Is designed for athletes who:

  • Are seeking a more competitive training and racing environment.
  • Do not have access to a rowing program through the school they attend.
  • Do not have a Fall, or Winter rowing program through their school.
  • Are home schooled and have the flexibility to choose any program.
  • Are multi-sport athletes able to schedule early morning erg/strength training.

The common bond that brings these junior rowers together is an uncommon desire to excel in this demanding sport.

On-the-water Practices

With access to a premier stretch of the Schuylkill River, athletes are able to log meaningful on-the-water miles in a high-quality training environment.

Yoga & Mobility

Our program includes two weekly yoga and mobility sessions focused on improving flexibility, rowing efficiency, and injury prevention.

Strength & Conditioning

One of the most beneficial parts of our training regime is our work off the water with Coach Steve of 8 Days Later Fitness.

Personalized Coaching

Through small boat training and small group sessions, athletes receive individualized coaching tailored to their needs and goals. Pegasus Rowing maintains one of the strongest coach-to-athlete ratios in the area.
